This is a compilation of assignments I worked on during my spare time to improve my narrative design.
Progression Flowchart

I made this flowchart to show how I would tackle the progression of an imagined game based on the design pillars of said game. The flowchart is based on the Forest Path technique created by Alexander Sword, which uses a “player first” approach to narrative design.
Text-based Game

I can’t lie. I hate coding. Detest it. But it’s a good skill to have and with this exercise, I wanted to show that I am willing to push myself and learn new skills if needed. I have some Python, HTML, and CSS experience, but JavaScript has always been intimidating to me. So, this is a short text-based game I made with JavaScript.
This text-based choose-your-own-adventure game is quite short but feels like a lifetime.

Barks

Barks. The bread and butter of a writer in the game industry. Or so I’ve heard. During this exercise, I made an excel sheet with about 200+ barks for different situations in a fictional open-world RPG. This list includes greetings by a tavern owner, loading screen tips, enemy exclamations in fighting instances, etc. I have also included some item descriptions you would find in the game when buying said items from a shop.
An Excel sheet with barks for an imaginary RPG game set in the medieval fantasy town of Evermore – where the ale is strong, but the guards are stronger.
Flash Fiction

I have written quite a few stories, but I to keep it short and sweet I compiled a few of my flash fiction to get a taste of my writing style.
